StyroChem® cup grades comply with the Code of Federal Regulations title 21, section 177.1640 (polystyrene) and 178.3010 (pentane blowing agents) as governed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
StyroChem® cup grades comply with European Union food contact regulations including Framework Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 and Directive 2002/72/EC.
Letters of no objection have been issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency covering all of StyroChem®’s cup grades. (Need to find listing on their website if it exists.)
Other
- StyroChem® EPS modified grade products such as MA500, MB500, MC500, MB590, and MC590 meet the physical property requirements of ASTM C-578.

In regards to Metal Toxics in Packaging Legislation (CONEG), be advised that based on the information available to us from our raw material suppliers, the current products offered in the StyroChem®’s product lines do not contain as intentional additives, cadmium and its compounds, hexavalent chromium compounds, lead and its compounds and mercury and its compounds at a total concentration of 100 ppm or higher.
